Everything Lead Up To THIS POINT
Yet, I still bought the DS.
This is...because...of Pokemon.
I grew up in the Pokemon Generation. When I was young, Pokemon was THE thing to play; it was all-over the television, and everybody who was anybody was raising this bunch of digital cum pocket monsters.
As the years passed, the games came out, and I loved every single moment of it. I relish the sound of "levelling up", and that "evolution" music remains one of the most epic hymn I've ever heard...
When news came out that the new Pokemon games were going to be exclusive to the DS, I was sold. DS, you have me, and now I have you.
When I was online this morning, it was Ryan who broke the news to me. It started with a smiple hello, and then he blew my mind. "Ey. Pokemon out liao lor,", and I went "Holy shte!" I messaged Delise asking for my DS back; it was time for the DS to fulfill it's purpose.
So yeah...I got the DS from her, but she forgot to give me the charger! And I got the game too, but the DS is out of battery! TO ANYONE WHO HAS A DS, THIS IS A CRY FOR HELP! HELP ME!
LEND RAYMOND A DS TODAY!
While waiting for Gekirangers to load...
Anyways, it's like 5 in the morning, and I've been awake since 3 something. I'm a light sleeper, and the slightest of distractions can stir me from my sleep, but in the case of today, it wasn't such a bad thing, I guess. I was glad to be of help!
So now I'm like...watching YouTube stuff; Hawker just went off, so there's not really anybody to talk to online.
Oh. And THAT moment just passed.
THAT moment of silence, when yesterday turns to today. Do you really think that it's at twelve when everything stops, and the world prepares for a new day? Nope, I don't think so. At twelve, there's still people scurrying around, trying to go home, rushing through their work. The cars are still driving, and a buzz of activity still lingers.
Look-out at around 4 in the morning; suddenly, everything just stops. My father's snoring is laid to rest for abit, the aircon's not making as much noise, and the vehicles outside are nonexistant. It's just me, the crescent moon, the stars, the glow from the laptop and the silence.
And all of a sudden, all the noise comes back at full force; I'm blown away by the magnitude, but that's the way things work with new beginnings.
You're never ready for what's coming.
Zzyzx Road
I don't know how else to put this - it's taken me so long to do this
I'm falling asleep and I can't see straight
My muscles feel like a melee - body's curled in a u-shape
I put on my best, but I'm still afraid
Propped up by lies with promises - saving my place as life forgets
Maybe it's time I saw the world
I'm only here for awhile - but patience is not my style
And I'm so tired that I got to go
What am I supposed to hide now? What am I supposed to do?
Did you really think I wouldn't see this through?
Tell me I should stick around for you, tell me I could have it all
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I get to go home in one week, but I'm leaving home in three weeks
They throw me a bone just to pick me dry
I'm following suit and directions, I crawl up inside for protection
I'm told what to do and I don't know why
I'm over existing in limbo, I'm over the myths and placebos
I don't really mind if I just fade away...
I'm ready to live with my family, I'm ready to die in obscurity
Cuz I'm so tired that I got to go
What am I supposed to hide now? What am I supposed to do?
You still don't think I'm going to see this through?
Tell me I'm a part of history - Tell me I can have it all
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go

I've Moved
I'm using my father's laptop right now, but I can't blog using my main computer; hence, the switch. Even then, it gets complicated. Sigh.
Anyways, today is going to be so freaking tiring, I just need to type it all out.
I go to school and start the day with a 40-minute break. Then SWIM PE, and lessons for 3 hours, and then a 20-minute break, and then lessons all the way to 4:30, followed by *gulp*, Student Council Interview. After this, I rush down to QTSS for Speech Day, and upon getting my prize, I rush back down to AC for Debates stuff.
Phew. Check that out; roughly an hour of break. Fuck. I'm so tempted to go late, and miss Swim, but cannot lah. Must be responsible.
Anyways, see you, and do visit my new site :).

Speak of the Unspoken
He says, if nobody speaks of remarkable things, how can they be called remarkable?
I finally finished the book I've been indulging in. I took it at a small space, which is surprising for me. I usually rush through 'em, like a knife through butter, but not this time. The book requires for slow reading, it's more of a poem; how the lives of people in a single street is woven together, and how the author shifts point of views with such ease, you can't help but move along with the flow.
"If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things" is an awesome piece of literature, and I give it the raymond-angelo.blogspot.com's stamp of approval.
Others which have attained such prestige:
-A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
-I, Lucifer
-Anything by Mike Gayle
-Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
-Freakonomics-
There's got to be more than this; Can't recall at the moment though.
What is a "raymond-angelo..." stamp of approval? These are books which have changed my perception; the way I look at life. It gives me insight and have radically shifted my way of thinking.
Have you seen how crows are in the morning? They're all perched at a tree, still, and waiting. And then suddenly; an eruption of black feathers. Simultaneously, like an orchestra, they reach a climax and explode. Tens of them, dozens of them, all spreading their wings at the same time.
But not once do they collide.

It's like...
Condom Physics!
So yeah, just a test, abit rough, but WTH lah.
We were doing Project Work this afternoon:
-Mohit demonstrated how Yoga is done. And me and Jonathan tried our best to imitate him. OHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...breathe in and your stomach should expand, and exhale with your stomach going in. Ur-hur.
-Lam, who hasn't done a single thing for his project work projected (sial) his idea to Mr Yap...and his idea is...THE INVENTOR OF THE CONDOM!But being the physics teacher Mr Yap was, he heard QUANTUM.
"But oh, it's not confirmed who invented in. It's a theory which was thought of by a group of people...I didnt' think you'd be so interested in Physics Lam..."
And we were like O.o, because the only physics involving condoms is the frictional kind, which goes *shupa-shupa*.
"Quantum physics, how interesting,"
Condom=Quantum=CONDOM PHYSICS!

The Silence Between Lightning and Thunder
Anyways, I was going to bitch about how tired I am. Studies, homework, tests and stuff...and then something crops up.
I got an imposter! First time siah! But this one's a real idiot, cause after the many many times I tagged, he/she was unable to notice how my name was ALWAYS high-lighted, because I linked to my own blog. It's shameless publicity, if it gets me just a bit more hits, I'll indulge in it. So yeah, idiot, at least try to pass it off with some...smarts.
And I wasn't even home then yet. True, I may not have proof, but I don't think anybody saw me go online yesterday night...AT ALL. That's because I didn't use the computer at all; having reached home at 10-ish, and being so damn pooped.
So let's deal with the comment...it's something I'd never make. If I got something to say, I'll say it to the concerned party; I don't like having rational discussions through tagboards. So to whoever...come out. Or at least leave a comment at the end of this post. I'll gladly appreciate it, and maybe we can reason it out. YOU FUCKING BASTARD.
I don't see how people can comment on other people's relationship so casually, because there are things that no matter how they appear to be...aren't what they appear to be. You're just an outsider looking in, and there's bound to be things you DON'T, CAN'T and WON'T understand. So please, don't try to act like you KNOW what's going on.
I'll solve my own problems, thank you very much.
See you! Got debate today, and I'm in the swing team!

i love them escalator rides
i'll be one step lower. you're shorter, know? that way, our eyes will lock into each other, lips only centimetres apart...a gust of wind, or maybe an "accident", and i'll fall into 'em.
sometimes, you lean on me, with all your weight, and i'll have to support you, and it might be heavy, but i like the warmth.
and then, you put your arms around my neck, and even when the escalator ride ends, you don't let go. we're on the same plane now, i'm a full head taller. you'll be hanging off my neck, and i'll be struggling to breathe "geroff me", but i don't want you too, but we're in public, and i blush easy.
and then we'll walk off to the next escalator, be it up or down, but hand in hand nonetheless, knowing that i'll/you'll be in my/your arms.

5th-Graders Accused of Sex in School
Thursday, April 05, 2007
By MARY FOSTER, Associated Press Writer
NEW ORLEANS —
Five fifth-grade students face criminal charges after authorities said four of them had sex in front of other students in an unsupervised classroom and kept a classmate posted as a lookout for teachers. The students were arrested Tuesday at the Spearsville school in rural north Louisiana, authorities said. Two 11-year-old girls, a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year old boy were charged with obscenity, a felony. An 11-year-old boy, the alleged guard, was charged with being an accessory.
"After 44 years of doing this work, nothing shocks me anymore," said Union Parish Sheriff Bob Buckley. "But this comes pretty close."
Authorities said the incident happened March 27 at the school, which houses students from kindergarten through 12th grade. A high school teacher normally watches the fifth-grade class at the time, but went to an assembly for older students and the class was inadvertently left unattended, Buckley said.
The class, which had around 10 other students, was alone for about 15 minutes, he said.
"When no teacher showed up, the four began to have sex in the classroom with the other elementary students in the classroom with them," he said.
It took a day for authorities to find out about the incident. A student who had been in the class told a high school student about it the next day, Buckley said. The student told a teacher, and school officials notified the sheriff's office. Detectives began questioning students Thursday.
School officials did not return calls seeking comment.
The students, who were not identified because of their age, were released to their parents after their arrests, Buckley said. They will next be arraigned in juvenile court. A message seeking comment from the district attorney was not immediately returned.
Buckley said it was unclear what the children could face in penalties.
(A previous version of this story said the arrests happened Thursday. They happened Tuesday.)
Uhmm....right. The kids these days....sigh.Let's Talk About Changes
Right now, I wish we're back to July 25, and everything is the same as it was back then. The feelings, the...aiyah, just everything will be the same...and that'll be so wonderful.
But that's the thing about life, and relationships. People are constantly changing; for the better or for the worse, whether you like it or not. The thing about staying in a relationship, where both people are changing, is they have to change in a way that will compliment each other: to love and to hold and all that shyte for the rest of forever.
I guess that doesn't happen in some cases. Not everybody can be so lucky.
I'm glad that I was a catalyst to your change; you were so different back then, so lacking in self-confidence...and look at how you turned out now :). If I played any part in your growth at all, I'll be happy, and if you are happy right now, I'll walk away smiling.
So yeah, I'll grow, I'll change, I'll improve myself further. But one thing will always remain the same.
My heart's stopped beating. The star which decrees my direction has been obscured.
But I'm sure it'll shine again.
And so will my heart start beating.

An Excerpt; if nobody speaks of remarkable things
Something swept through me, swept out of me and over me, something unstoppable, like water surging from a broken tap and flooding across the kitchen floor.
I don't quite understand why I felt that way, why I reacted like that.
I wanted to be saying it's just something that happens.
But I was there, that day, slamming the kitchen door over and over again until the handle came loose.
Smacking my hand against the worktop, kicking the cupboard doors, throwing the plates into the sink.
Going fuckfuckfuck through my clenched teeth.
I wanted someone to see me, I wanted someone to come rushing in, to take hold of me and say hey hey what are you doing, hey come on, what's wrong.
But there was no one there, and no one came.

Not Just Hungry; Obnoxious Too
For those without Time (pun), I'll copy and paste excerpts:
"After its first lap, globalization gets really interesting. The stuff you invented--in this culinary case, fast-food hamburgers, fried chicken, pizza and doughnuts--gets sent out into the world, is replicated by other countries and then comes back to you all crazied up, like a giant game of telephone. And if you hold that piece of Filipino fried chicken up to your ear and are really quiet, you can hear what the rest of the world thinks about us."
"Jollibee, with more than 1,400 stores in the Philippines and 11 branches in California, makes McDonald's look like a funeral parlor. Its mascot is a jolly bee, and the restaurants are blindingly happy, all giant, shiny yellow blocks, as if they were designed by an architect from Legoland. Even if you gave Walt Disney all the ecstasy in the world, he would not have come up with this. America, according to Jollibee, is clearly a place of childlike optimism. Jollibee's two most popular items are called the Yumburger and the Chickenjoy. The Yumburger has a weird, plasticky dollop of French dressing in the middle. The crisped-up French fries are dry inside and taste as if they weren't just double fried but dunked in oil four or five times. The fried chicken is halfway decent, but the inflated, happy fakeness of Jollibee makes you feel that the only American its Filipino owners have ever seen is Pamela Anderson."
From: www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1604946,00.html
Firstly, to the journalist who pulled this shyte out of his ass...SCREW YOU. I can't speak for the other franchines mentioned in the article, but I can defend Jollibee. I am Filipino after all.
I have to admit that Jollibee did copy western ideas of fast-food. But they NEVER...NOT ONCE did try to emulate the tastes of Americans. Jollibee, and all its products are not TARGETTED at Americans. When coming up with the products...Jollibee had the tastebuds of Filipinos in mind. What kind of idiots will target a consumer...which isn't even there in the first place? Jollibee shaped their brand based on Filipino tastes, and when they shifted to America, their main target was the Filipinos over there, and thus, carried over the "Filipino" style...not the freaking American.
If you look at Philippines, it's a pretty miserable place. We're called the kidnap capital of the world; traffic is horrible, and the air, nearly toxic. We've got children in the streets selling cigarettes, and beggars go ignored. This is the precise reason why Jollibee is so, well, jolly. We needed a reason to smile...and what better reason than a paradise of happiness in the middle of the land of trash-heaps and empty pockets? Jollibee is fake, it is filled with false happiness, but that's what we, in the Philippines need.
Nope, dear American journalist, you're not our target consumer. We never intended Jollibee to land in your hands. We just want to expand and make money.
Now, dear Obnoxious American Journalist, take your article, and shove it up your nose.
Time Stop!
Google her for more!
Anyways; yesterday went quite goodly. Lessons weren't boring, and our China buddies held a farewell party for us! We played games and shyte, but one of the games was...damn bloody racist! Typical Chinese! Kidding lah, but they wrote some Chinese tongue-twister on the board, and made us read it.
HOW TO READ? As I shouted, "WHERE'S THE DAMN HANYU PINYIN?!"
It was finally time to say farewell to HaiChen...but I'll talk about that in another post.
Stayed behind for a while to hang out with my classmate, Lam and his friend, PJ, and then took the MRT with Moses and Jolene who had gone to the Christian Fellowship meeting.
TahNern called me out for dinner....THANK YOU TAHNERN! We went to Billy Bombers with some of the 4A guys, and Jeremy and Alex and BingYu and then some. Not bad lah...the food's good, but the company's BEST. ChooChi (clubbing virgin) asked me to go to DXO with them, but upon seeing the crown, which was comprised of AhBengs, I decided against it.
So yeap, I'm going to do my Project Work sometime around now, and then study Physics. See you around, and can somebody please turn on the light? I've been left in the dark.

I don't know
Into so many pieces, you can't even begin to comprehend. I am so...un-shallow.
I'm really trying, and trying, and trying, because that's the only thing I know I can do...I'm aware that whenever I type on this blog...I try to show myself as the good guy, the "right" side, "Mr. Perfect"...and I'm not trying. I really do...think...I am the best...
But maybe that's my flaw. Not realising where I went wrong...and where I am wrong...and what I'm doing wrong.
Who knew?
So I'll live for now. I don't know what's coming tomorrow, but I've always been a firm believer in Karma, right? Remember how we talked, the two of us? Whever bad things happened, we just continued doing good, believing in those 5-letter words...knowing that because we believe, the future's so much brighter.
How's my future? Care to shed some light on it?
Anyways, I think I just screwed a friend over...fuck...and he's one of my close friends...shyte. World's going to end tomorrow. I just know it. Or do I?

Do You Like It?
'Cause you make me want to become a better person.
Anyways, out of school today; I've been sick since last week, and haven't gotten rest, so I decided to take off for today. Kinda sian, but the homeworks' keeping me occupied.

Shared Lunch
Where's your heart? Is it inside your body? Nope. Hearts are...shared between people. When you connect with somebody else, a heart is created...at times these hearts are fleeting; they beat fast...and sometimes they hold special meaning to yourself, so much so that without it, you feel like your own heart has died.
When we sever connections with someone, we break hearts...which is the sad part, but the good thing is that you've got a whole web of hearts you can fall back on.
So go on, create a heart today. Share your heartbeat.

Zune In
Based on looks alone, I think the Zune beats the iPod hands-down. That's just me. There's something about the small-ish-ness of the iPod's screen that turns me off; it seems like it's being squeezed into such a tiny space by the round-click-wheel. This is especially true when you see that giant Zune screen. The lay-out of the buttons for Zune is quite simple too, and easy to get used to.
The real downer is the lack of a click-wheel mechanism. That circular thing in the middle looks like a click-wheel; but it's not. I kept spinning my fingers around it, but alas, I ended up a disappointed man.
Watching movies on the Zune is excellent: you have to hold it horizontally if you wish to watch a movie. The screen is big, and you get a better view as compared to an iPod. The only problem I have with it, is that it's a bit pixelated for my taste, but oh well lah.
The earphones are lovely; they're magnetic, so you can stick them to each other. It's useless, but nifty nonetheless. I'm not an audophile, so I can't tell the difference between Zune and iPod earphones. But you're not an audophile either, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Installing the Zune software into your computer is a real ass. If you've got a newer computer, then it shouldn't be a problem, but for those computers which are a few years old, you'll find yourself downloading this programme and that programme....hassle. The Zune software is shyte compared to iTune, I think. iTune's much more user-friendly; creating play-lists and transferring them to your device is much easier in an iPod. Until today, I don't have a playlist in my Zune.
You know how iPod's have that feature where they keep-track of your "Top-rated", "Recently Added", and "Most Played"? I loved that feature, but the Zune lacks that, for some reason, which is a real bitch.
You can't add date, time, and LYRICS to your Zune too. Fiack.
Check out this spread:
That gray pouch is the Zune holder, but it's butt-ugly, so I haven't used it really.
The major draw of the Zune is the song-exchange. You can connect to another Zune, and send him songs and vice-versa. But it's not as simple as you think. After three days, the song you received will disappear. You have to BUY them, or else they won't be permanent. Maybe I had to high expectations, but I was thinking that this was a feature similar to Blue-tooth. Sigh...
Looking at that spread, you realise...THERE'S NO ADAPTER! That's right; you've to connect it to your computer to charge it. It's very bothersome; if there's no computer around, then what will you do? And you've got to on the computer over-night to give it a good charge, which my parents don't think is a good practice, so it's been difficult.
So what do I like most about the Zune? I'm probably the only one who has it. Oh, Glen Wireman has it to, but he copied me x(. I'm the original Zune owner in Singpore. THE ORIGINAL.
The Zune and the iPod are of the same price; it's not sold in Singapore though, so you've to go overseas to get one.
Verdict? iPod for it's features. Zune for it's uniqueness.
